Reel Ads on Instagram
As a new opportunity to discover brands
Instagram finds in the success of Reels an opportunity for companies to reach new customers and start growing.
After a successful trial in some countries, Instagram Reels ads were launched on June 16. They will be full screen and vertical, similar to Stories ads, and will appear between individual Reels of other users.
This includes the Reels tab, Reels in Stories, Reels in Explore, and Reels in your Feed.
Once a user accesses a Reel from any of these places, they will enter a viewer that exclusively shows Reels that scroll vertically.
In the words of Justin Osofsky, COO of Instagram on reels ads: “We believe that Reels are a great way for people to discover new content on Instagram, so ads are a perfect fit.”
